There are lots free web hosts out there but the way they go off the internet all of a sudden is rather alarming. Using just any free web host for your blog or site can be something you’ll regret if you fail to choose wisely. My blog and web forum are hosted with hostgator which isn’t free and I’ll recommend it to anyone any day if you’re into any serious business. I tried coming up with the list of top free web hosts that are reliable to some extent and offer cPanel hosting instead of some custom dashboard. This list is not a recommendation as I wont be held responsible if your web host deletes your website without warning. Using a free host can do more damage than good for your business in case they decide to suspend your account without warning. If you’ve got serious business to do with that site you want to host, consider going for paid hosting.
These guys have been in free hosting business for quite a long time and I can tell you they shouldn’t go offline anytime soon like others. They’ve got some premium features usually found in paid hosting and this includes free cPanel, one touch installer with WordPress, SMF, phpBB and other popular scripts, a support forum and above all, using your own custom domain. They claim that your allocated bandwidth and disk space is unmetered but I don’t know how far this is true. Activation is also instant.
2. 000webhost
000webhost has also been in the business for quite a long time and it’s actually one of the most popular web hosts offering free cPanel hosting. The only problem you’re likely to encounter with them is account activation. I have an account there that was never activated till date. Maybe I was just unlucky but I’ve got a couple of people hosting with them. Along with free cpanel hosting, you get 1.5GB disk space, 100GB bandwidth, ads free, one script auto installers, unlimited domains and much more.
3. Bytehost
With 5.5GB disk space 200GB bandwidth, free VistaPanel hosting, 50 addon domains and lots of other features, Bytehost is definitely one of the most reliable web hosts. It’s also one of those I’ve known for a pretty long time.
4. 110MB
100MB offers 110mb disk space and 100GB bandwith but you’re not allowed to create mySQL database except you’re willing to pay. It’s good for setting up a personal site though.
5. Host1free
Host1free doesn’t offer you a standard free cPanel but it’s definitely ideal if you just a free hosting service to host your personal site, a small organization website or a personal blog. You’re allowed to create 2 MySQL databases and allocated 2GB disk space plus 100GB monthly transfer.

6. ismywebsite.com
Like I mentioned earlier, you stand the risk of losing your website if you rely totally on a free host and i do not recommend any. If you plan on using one, be sure you make a backup of your site and database on a regular basis as they may decide to suspend your account any time they like. There’s a possibility them may decide to stop free hosting service someday. Need to do some serious web hosting, use HOSTGATOR.
