Destiny 2 keeps introducing new strikes to challenge players and keep them engaged. One new strike is Scarlet Keep, where players will immensely enjoy the Grandmaster’s difficulty. Also, the map of this strike is big enough to help players find themselves many spots to hide and attack.
Here we will share the tips by which you can have a blast in the strike if you play on Grandmaster difficulty. There are other difficulties lower than Grandmaster, which will have fewer enemies and hence are less challenging.
Grab an Anti-Barrier
The time you enter the strike, you will notice an abundance of barriers compared to Unstoppable Ogres, which are far fewer. This means you must have anti-barrier damage to have a consistent and smooth run.
Also, there are mods for barriers, and the best one to use is the Arbalest. This comes with excellent anti-barrier properties plus makes pretty significant damage.
Ranged Weapons Help Greatly
Ranged weapons are another need for the strike since the play takes place on the Moon. This means that there are massive areas and clear sight. However, enemies here can see from a big distance, so you need to make a decent cover.
Players who want the nightfall loot can consider nightfall the ordeal. If not, you must complete the difficulty level using your own team. This will also need you to spend the Shards. However, when you opt for the ordeal, pro players perform on your behalf and get you all the benefits while you can sit back and relax.
Other than the cover, long-ranged weapons such as rifles are a must. Other explosives are there too, but they might not cover the needed range. Hand cannons will also work well if you can’t arrange rifles.
Know When to Become a Team
As we discussed earlier, the strike comes with a lot of enemies since you play in Grandmaster difficulty. Normally, players perform well by splitting up and taking charge; however, they need to form a bunch and play together. This is beneficial to have the Void charge.
When it comes to activating the three plates, the action happens in front of the players with the capability to destroy multiple players. Hence, here they should scatter, so not every player receives the damage.
For the Void charge part, players should stay as a group and handle one side at a time.
The players should have a hunter who can get invisible and charge the plate. Two more players should go on the sides to kill when the Barrier Knight spawns.
Next comes the elevator sequence when enemies arise from both sides. When a player kills a Wizard from one side, ads and Barrier Knights appear from another side and kill many players. That is why players need to get cover from the enemy from both sides.
Beware of the Spam
Going on with the elevator sequence, the Acolytes spawns, which can easily fool players. Here players need to use three pillars that will allow them to move quickly and handle themselves depending on where the spawn happens. Hunters can be helpful as they have the power to become invisible.
Utilize Mods
Armor mods are a must to defeat the enemies effectively. This is because the enemies are unlimited, and Acolytes are an additional headache. The players, to avoid the snipe, should use protective armor mods.
For this, Sniper Resistance is a great mod. This helps you fight Acolytes when you are in a larger area.
Arc Resistance is another mod that protects you against Wizards. Players can also try Concussive Dampener that protects you from Barrier Knight fooling you.
The Final Boss Room
Finally comes the boss room, which is the most challenging part of the strike. The main disadvantage is the confined space that gives players less chance to survive. However, you can use the pillars to take the cover.
Stand where Hashladun stands, where you also see her two Wizards. Move back and forth in the space and take down champions and the orange-bar majors first. Then, get to the doors and use tools like Witherhoard against the ads.
