If we can imagine ourselves where we want to be, then we will be inspired to do the things that will allow us to have all that we want. In every aspect of life, there exist a brick-wall and the approach used in scaling it determines the success or failure of an individual. In blogging, this phenomenon is exact.
What is this brick wall in blogging?
Firstly, what is a brick-wall? A brick-wall is an obstacle that stands between where you are coming from and where you are going to. If you get to the wall and decide not to add a little extra effort to scale over it, you will never get to your destination. The point is this; as a blogger aspiring for success, you must be prepared for the challenges ahead.
The brick-wall in the context of the article would not be out-of-place if I refer to it as the “frustration point” of a blogger. Now hold on, this frustration point is the point where pro-bloggers are made or forced out of the race. Bloggers who confront the frustration get the reward while those who let the frustration consume them are eaten up in the blogosphere.
Quit blogging?
When I hear bloggers screaming and yelling; “I want to quit, blogging is too hard”, I am forced to ask, ” Compared to what? Though I don’t get lucid answers, I have come to realize that such complains can only be attributed to newbie bloggers who were deceived into the belief that they can blog their way to the bank without 110% effort being applied.
I was once a failed blogger, I made 7-attempts in 6-years and I kept failing. I was not only frustrated but mocked. The feelings were unimaginable but the propensity to succeed was always a driving force. Today, all the negative stories have been consumed in my history books. I am not special and you are not different either. Realities are always product of conscious and sub-conscious thoughts; hence you can’t afford to leave your thoughts in auto-pilot. You must train it in the path of success.
How to be a successful blogger
The only principle to succeed is to first accept responsibility for your failures of epic proportion. You need to dump that old and discredited African philosophy of attributing your failures to your grand-mother in the village. I mean, that kind of thought is boring, but once you can accept that you failed because you didn’t try hard enough, success would be more than happy to embrace you in future.
I am a living proof that blogging is a bed of roses, but you must also not forget that roses have thorns and if one isn’t careful, what happens next becomes a story no one wants to be the author. All successful bloggers have been frustrated at one point in their life, but guess what. Only after frustration do you get fulfillment. The prescript is what kept me in this thing called blogging.
Conclusion
In conclusion, intelligent people learn by instructions while foolish people learn by experience. Anyone who tells you experience is your best teacher is not a true friend. A best friend is one who gives instructions and if you are humble enough to dump your ego, it wouldn’t be too long before you surpass your milestone. What you learn by experience in 6-months, you learn same without stress in 6-days. I know you can argue, but I have been through terrible experiences in the blogosphere and I am confident to stick with my theory. Do not forget that it is not the will to win that matters, everyone has that. It is the will to prepare to win that matters.
If your heart is as strong as rock and have equally decided to dump blogging entirely, you need to get out of the money mindset traps and become a creative blogger. Know that no matter how dark things seem to be or actually are, raise your sights and see the possibilities, always see them, for they are always there.
