Most people speculated there won’t be any jailbreak till iOS 8 but fortunately, people who got stuck on iOS 7.1.1 can now smile as PanGu, a team of Chinese developers released a tool that jailbreaks Apple devices untethered on iOS 7.1.1. Renowned iOS hackers have been silent for a while now but out of nowhere came this unexpected breakthrough.
The tool works and it’s confirmed to jailbreak iPhone 4 and iPhone 5s untethered but it should as well work on all these devices: iPhone 4, iPhone 4s, iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5s, iPod touch 5th gen, iPad 2, iPad 3, iPad 4, iPad Air, iPad mini, iPad mini with Retina Display.
Steps to Download iOS 7.1.1 with PanGu
If you’ve already updated your device to iOS 7.1.1, you can just skip steps 1, 2 and 3.
1. If you got iOS 7.1.1 through OTA update, it’s advised you restore through iTunes. You can download iOS 7.1.1 for your device from the corresponding link below:

2. Restore your device using iTunes if the prompt to upgrade comes up, else press SHIFT on your keyboard and click the Restore button to select the downloaded IPSW file.
3. Wait till the process and complete and your phone boots up fully.

5. Connect your device and run the .exe file:
6. Your device should be identified on the window. Uncheck the box or you will have a piracy app installed on your device when the jailbreak is all done. Click the Jailbreak button as shown above to begin the process.
7. After a while, this tool prompts you to change your device’s date to June 2, 2014.
8. on your device, go to Settings > General >Date & Time. Turn off “Set Automatically” and change the date to Jun 2, 2014.
9. After setting the date, the jailbreak will continue and you have to wait for a while till you see PanGu app on your Springboard.
10. Tap the icon to begin the 2nd step of the jailbreak. Hit continue and the jailbreak continues.
11. this may reboot your phone but the jailbreak should be completed in about 10 minutes or so. After that, you should see a Cydia icon on the Springboard.
