We recently wrote an article on how to download Facebook videos on Android on this post and if you’re looking for how to do this on your computer, we’ve got you covered in this blog post. Doing this on your iOS device is quite possible whether your device is jailbroken or not.
Facebook videos are meant to be streamed, not downloaded, and Facebook doesn’t officially allows you to do this but there are times you wish to save these videos on your device so as to watch them later. There are even times you may want to download the videos and share them on other social networks.
Facebook++: The Ultimate Facebook Tweak for iOS
In case you haven’t come across this tweak already, it further extends your Facebook app to perform functions you won’t find on the app by default.
This jailbreak tweak, available in the Unlimapps repo (http://beta.unlimapps.com), allows you to:
- Read messages without Messenger app
- Turn off read receipts
- Download Facebook videos
The major downside of the tweak is that it’s ad-supported. You get an ad showing at the bottom of your Facebook app and that’s not something a lot of people may be comfortable with. Of course, you can remove the ad by paying $2.
Downloading Facebook Videos on iOS without Jailbreak
If you’re not comfortable with the ad-supported Facebook++ and do not really need all the extra features it provides, you can choose to download an app from the App Store that does the simple job of downloading Facebook videos.
One of such app is Video Downloader Plus. Although this app isn’t available in the Nigerian store, you can still look for similar apps within the App Store or get the .ipa file and install via iFunbox.
