Why Search Engines Should Play Second Fiddle

Why Search Engines Should Play Second Fiddle

I guess you’re surprised, confused and even angry at what this dude is trying to portray here. You’re asking yourself if he knows what he’s talking about.

Why Search Engines Should be Second Fiddle

Let me ask you this, have you ever sat down to monitor your stats and noticed exactly how long your visitors spend on your site to determine the “bounce rate”? Wait, that isn’t even the problem, have you ever checked the exact times your visitors spent viewing other pages?? I take it you haven’t. (you might be checking your stats, but not too interested in the bounce rate).

Apart from this, have you even been hit by a change in Google search algorithm? If you depend solely on search engine traffic, a single Panda update can make your blog go into oblivion.

search engine trafficO.k this is how it goes…

Search engine traffic which is popularly termed “organic traffic” is very important, that is why there are many SEO Prophets and countless SEO softwares and guides present today.

SEO can really make you feel like a special one (Mourinho 😉 lol), but seeing your post on the the 1st page of Google the most frequented search engine can really be exciting and make you really happy, so can getting tons of traffic from Google.

However, search engine traffic have one slight problem…They generate the most bounce rate… which is not useful for a blog growth.

Now you’re wondering, “what is he talking about?” If I show my visitors a list of of related posts, would there still be bounces?
Well, researches have proven that 1 in 7 visitors who view a post he was referred to by search engines would go further to see another post, the other 6 would go their way.

Now the big question is “which other way can give the Ultimate result required to curb high bounce rate if Search engines can’t?”
The simple answer is “Inorganic Traffic”.
Yes, there are various types of inorganic traffic, but the most useful is the post inter-linking and from your blog kind of traffic, where your readers type in your URL straight into your address bar. This kind of traffic has been known to generate the most page views and best of all “High Revenue 😉 “.

So how do we get the “from your blog traffic”?

Quite simple if you have the “persuasive powers” required ;).
At the end of all your posts, ask your readers to checkout posts they ain’t currently seeing which may catch their “third eye”, either using an attractive topic, something like this…

Hey, why don’t you take a few minutes to view this post 😉

Well that should work, or you can put your imaginations to good use and come up with something more interesting that would capture your viewers interest. Cheers!
