Tecno Boom J8 was officially launched last week in an event at Ikeja. You can read about the launch in this previous article. Tecno Boom J8 is the first Tecno device to come with HiOS, Tecno’s own customized version of Android OS. While Tecno Phantom 5 remains the best device from Tecno Mobile till date, the Boom J8 is the best mid-ranger from the company.
The new HiOS is geared towards productivity and customization. Attention is paid to details, the user interface has some great aesthetics but we will have to reserve the pros and cons till we publish the review. The phone itself is well designed and at first, you might notice it bears some resemblance with Apple iPhone 6. It sure does, but not without Tecno’s touch. It is well crafted outside and of course, the software design too is quite commendable.
