[Video] The History of Cellphones: From Being Bulky to Being Smart

July 15, 2014

Back in time, some forty years ago, Martin Cooper made first ever call through a cell phone. He made this call before reporters to his rival cell phone manufacturers. The weight of that device was about 1.5 kilograms. Motorola spent almost 10 years and spent around $ 1 Millionto make it a marketable commodity. In today’s currency, it would have cost more than $10,000 to have this incredibly heavy machines with no extra features associated with it.

The differences between the earlier cellular devices and what we see now is incredible. A video shows evolutionary cell phone models and explains it in detail. The machines that we are known to today are the ones who carry a world of features with them. We can perform a wide variety of our tasks on these devices. A student can easily manage and complete assignments, an employee can make and send reports, a tourist can search interesting places, a mom can find out a recipe, a father can order a pizza, and many others. It might not be considered wrong if one claims that he/she can do all of the assigned tasks through a smart phone.

The interesting part is that it is just a beginning. The users have become more and more interested in using smart phones which are smarter than ever before. And to meet their demands companies are spending fortunes to bring in products with more features and innovation. This is a never ending race; let’s see who stays on the top for the longest part.
