Elephone P8000: High End Specs, Fingerprint Sensor for Only $153.99

Elephone is definitely one of the most popular brands in China and one of its bestselling products right now is the Elephone P8000. In a flash sale which is presently on-going, the phone is presently being sold for on $153.99 on Gearbest.

Elephone P8000 can be called a high-end phone considering the huge specifications. The device is a 5.5-incher with a full HD resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and the IPS screen is protected with Gorilla Glass 3. The phone has a strong metallic frame and feels good to hold.

Talking about the performance, one can only expect optimum speed from a 64-bit octa-core processor. The device sports a MediaTek MT6753 chipset with all 8 cores clocked at 1.5GHz. You also get a whole 3 Gigabytes of random access memory to handle multitasking and efficiently run applications.

Elephone P8000 comes shipped with Android 5.1 but according to a report published by Mobi Picker, there’s a Marshmallow update scheduled for the device which is going to arrive anytime soon.The ELE UI is a bit customized, especially the launcher, but most parts retain stock Android look. The Notification center and recent apps, for example, still retains default Lollipop look.

The device can be used in almost any part of the world since the LTE support is not limited to just a few network bands. It’s 3G enabled, can connect to the internet through WiFi and of course, it’s 3G enabled. Elephone P8000 comes with a GPS sensor but there’s no NFC support.

It comes with a massive, high capacity battery that supports fast charging. The built-in battery has a capacity of 4,165 mAh and can last for days with regular use. It takes about one hour and thirty minutes to fully charge the phone and the battery life is quite excellent.

Only few phones in this price range offers fingerprint security but Elephone P8000 offers this and it’s placed just below the rear camera. If offers 360° recognition and works quite fine.

The phone has a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. It comes with a 16GB internal storage but you can expand this with up to 128 GB through the micro SD slot. This phone is worth more than the actual sale price of $169.99, but the on-going flash sale on Gear has brought the price even lower.
