A Simple Tip to Make Windows 7 Boot Up Faster

A Simple Tip to Make Windows 7 Boot Up Faster

You’re in a hurry and trying to boot your computer up but it takes like five minutes or more before the system becomes useable.  Countless startup programs seem to be choking your computer and hang it somehow. With so many programs starting up with your computer, it takes quite a while before you can use the OS and full boot might be slow but there’s a fix for it.

This isn’t a new tweak, as a matter of fact, it’s very old but you probably won’t know about it if you’re not a computer savvy person. You don’t need any other software to kill these startup programs preventing Windows from booting quick, there’s a default in-built feature where you can turn off those autostart programs.

Must read: How to make internet connection faster

-Click the start button

– Go to Accessories > Run

– Select Startup tab on the window that appears. Here is where all the startup programs clogging your computer are listed.

– Uncheck all the programs except important ones like your antivirus, anti-malware and other important ones. If your Audio or Video controller is also on this list, be sure it’s not unchecked.

– Hit OK, there should be a prompt asking you to restart. Hit the Restart button

When your computer restarts, you should notice a significant speed in booting up. So far startup programs are responsible for the slow boot, this should fix it. However this won’t work if something is already wrong with your operating system.
