Hiding Facebook Friends List From Your Profile

Hiding Facebook Friends List From Your Profile

October 27, 2011

We all love privacy and you will definitely need lots of that if you use facebook for more personal reasons than just socializing. You can hide your facebook friends list and even new friends you make. This makes the list invisible to your friends and everybody else except you. To hide your facebook friends list from your profile, go to your profile page and follow these steps:

How To Hide Friends List From Profile

-Locate the friends list on the left side bar

-Click on the edit button (pen icon)

– The next page takes you to relationship settings page. Scroll down to Friends. Click the icon next to it and select Only Me from the drop down menu.

That’s all you need to do to make your friends list invisible to everyone except you.

How To Hide New Friends From Profile News Feed

Now, if you need to hide new friends from showing on your wall too, here’s what to do:

-Go to your profile and locate a friending activity and click on the remove button (X) next to it.

-Select Hide All Recent Friending Activity From Profile

-Confirm your selection by clicking Hide all.

This hides new friends from showing on your wall. In addition, there’s a detailed post here on how to control your wall news feed including new friends and how to hide other recent activities.
