Huawei G Power, also known as Huawei Y6 Pro, is a device that suits the Nigerian market because of its high battery capacity. Although it’s not the first of its type, it’s a breath of fresh air for people who prefer a moderate 5-inch display. The device is set to launch soon and it’s already available for pre-order on Jumia.
Huawe G Power has a 4000mAh battery and that seems to be the main selling point of this device. The phone is said to offer up to 113 hours of music play and can call for as long as 39 hours. According to Huawei 15 hours of Internet browsing is guaranteed with up to 18 hours of video streaming. As expected, the device supports OTG and can charge other devices.
Huawei G Power has a 2GB RAM and there’s a 16GB internal storage available. It’s powered by a MediaTek MT6735P chipset, an quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz. Huawei Y6 Pro runs Android 5.1 Lollipop with Huawei’s custom UI, EMUI, on top of it. The device supports 4G LTE and it’s a dual SIM phone.
It comes mainly in three colors: gold, white and gray. The 5.0″ display has a pixel resolution of 720x 1280. As for the camera, there’s a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and there’s a 5MP camera at the front.
Although we don’t know exactly how much the device will be sold, our opinion is that it should be somewhere between ₦22,000 and ₦30,000. Devices with similar specifications in the market like the Infinix Hot Note are sold within that price range.
