There was a time facebook had a “clear chat history” option but this was removed all of a sudden. Since, all chat conversations piles up in your inbox and you just watch helplessly as you inbox gets filled with useless chat messages. There is no way to block chat messages from storing in your inbox as facebook leaves no option to save or discard chat history. Whether you like it or not, your chat conversations will always be in your inbox.
