Wale Adekile
February 10, 2015

Innjoo One 3G HD happens to be my very first Innjoo smartphone and I wasn’t disappointed. The review copy came in last week and I’ve already took it for a spin for about a week now, exploring the beautifully designed device.

innjoo oneInnjoo One is due to be officially launched tomorrow.

Before we go into the full review, you might want to take a look at the full specifications here. Below are the quick specifications:

  • Display: 5″ IPS screen (720*1280)
  • Operating System: Android 4.4 Kitkat
  • CPU: MTK Octa-Core 1.4GHz
  • RAM: 2GB
  • Storage: 16GB
  • Front camera: 5.0 Megapixel

Physical Appearance

Holding the device for the first time, one can’t help but notice the slim, yet sturdy build.

It has a thickness of 6.9mm, the same thickness as iPhone 6.The two slim slots are on the lower left part of the left frame. One SIM slot takes a micro-SIM and the other one either takes a nano-SIM or a micro-SD card (not both at once).

On the right side is the volume controls, followed by the power key. Innjoo one is beautifully designed, the front and back cover is made of glass and it has a smooth aluminum frame, giving it a premium feel.

The 13MP back camera sits at the top left with the LED flash just below it. The 5MP front camera is placed just beside the earpiece.

Battery Life

To an average Nigerian, battery performance is very important considering the epileptic power supply. Innjoo One delivers well in this regard with the 2600mAh Polymer battery.

This is the type of phone that can sustain you the whole day if moderately used.

Display

Innjoo one has a 5″ IPS display protected with Dragontail glass known to be scratch-resistant. It has a resolution of 720×1280 and a pixel density of 293ppi. The customized launcher (InnOS) gives the UI a pretty good feel.

Memory

The phone offers an internal storage of 16GB with about 13GB available to the user. You can expand the storage to 64GB using a SD card.

The device also has a RAM of 2GB.

Camera

The 13MP camera produces clear pictures under normal lighting conditions though I haven’t been able to check the clarity in the dark using the LED flash.

The 5MP front camera too produces good selfies with a wide viewing angle, there’s no flash though

Performance

The phone performs exceptionally well. Multasking works just fine and the 32-bit, 1.4Ghz octa-core processor performs well, making the fast and smooth to navigate. It’s got a high Antutu benchmark score too (30,070), placing it even above HTC One on the ranking list.

antutu

The phone runs the so-called “heavy HD games” quite well and whatever you intend doing with the device, it’s very capable.

Network & Connectivity

The phone is a 3G enabled device. It’s also got WiFi for internet connectivity, can be used as WiFi hotspot and is bluetooth enabled. As expected, it can be used with all Nigerian mobile operators since they’re operating on almost the same network bands.

Pre-Installed Apps

Innjoo One quite a number of pre-installed apps and games. Essential apps like Facebook, NQ Mobile Security, WhatsApp and Skype are already installed.

Price

For now, the price isn’t determined but we should be able to post an update before the end of the week. However, we estimate it should be somewhere around 30,000 naira more or less.

Of course, the price will be on Jumia shortly as it appears it’s exclusively available on the e-commerce platform.

Update: The confirmed price is now 27,999 naira. Buy now
