Google Adsense Approval Tips for Blogspot Blogs

Google Adsense Approval Tips for Blogspot Blogs

Wale Adekile
December 17, 2010

Till only few months back, getting an approved google adsense account was relatively easy for bloggers publishing under blogspot sud-domains compared to the situation on ground now. Google now has a more strict policy about adsense account approval.

There’s now a tendency to approve basically sites using top level domains. As good as this may sound to some people, it’s actually a heartbreak for new bloggers who actually hope to make an income from google adsense.
I’ve received quite a number of complaints from some bloggers about this general problem and I guess I should address it in this post.

No matter how hard the policy may seem, there’s still an easy way out and you can still get that adsense account approved.

Earlier when Google launched the adsense program, blogspot used to be the best way to get an adsense account, but now because of huge demand of Adsense , Google is not entertaining adsense account from blogSpot sub-domains easily.

I always encourage bloggers to publish under a custom domain. I recently had a conversation with a new blogger and was scared to purchase a custom domain because he thinks it’s rather costly and can’t be done without a paypal account. It doesn’t matter whether you have a paypal account or not, you can still purchase a domain name at low cost and pay in your country’s currency and even Naira if you’re a Nigerian. It’s all about using liberty reserve which is an even easier and more convenient way of purchasing a domain name. Publishing your blog under a custom domain will help a long way in getting your google adsense account verified easily.

Thank you for your interest in Google AdSense. Unfortunately, after
reviewing your application, we’re unable to accept you into Google
AdSense at this time.

We did not approve your application for the reasons listed below.

Issues:

– Page type

———————

Further detail:

Page type: Your website is a type of website that we do not currently
accept into our program. Such websites include, but are not limited

to,
chat sites, sites that drive traffic through cybersquatting, and

sites…

The above message is one of the most common disapproval messages google sends to bloggers applying for adsense.

You have to bear in mind that your blog must not just be a couple of weeks old when applying, you might wanna give it about 3 months to get indexed by google and already have at least 20 blog posts.

There is also a little trick and that is getting your verified google adsense account via hubpages.com

After registering for hubpages, create your own hub, register for google adsense through them and get verified. All you have to do after this is to quit the revenue sharing program they offer ( if you actually want to quit, that is), and use your adsense publisher code on your blog.

I still maintain that getting a custom domain name is the better option as it is rather fast, simple and straight forward.

If you get rejected, don’t ever let that get you down. Google is only telling you to play the game the way they want!
