Infinix launched the Zero 4 and the Zero 4 Plus a couple of days ago in an event held in Ikeja, Nigeria. Both devices stay true to previous leaks and rumors, with Infinix going deeper into the premium segment with these flagship devices. We’ve had the Zero 4 Plus for a couple of days and unboxed it already.
For a quick look at the specifications and launch price, you can check this article. Besides the device itself, items found in the box include:
- 1 power adapter
- 1 USB cable
- 1 phone case
- user manual
- 1 ejector pin
- 1 tempered glass
It leaves a good first impression and like we pointed out months ago, Infinix has definitely changed its design game with the Hot S. We reviewed the previous device in the Zero product line and rightly pointed out that the great device was enclosed in a not-so-great shell. Infinix Zero 4 is changing that in a pretty big way.
Of course, the design feels familiar. It bears some semblance to HTC 10, but all phones literally look alike these days. Infinix Zero 4 Plus comes with a unibody design that looks good and feels solid in the hand.
The shell is all metal, with antennae lines running off along the top and bottom. The 20.7MP camera looks huge and protrudes, leaving a bump some may find irksome. The camera comes with Laser AF Below this is the fingerprint sensor.
The 1080p 5.98-inch display looks pretty much alive and it comes with a 2.5D glass, a Gorilla Glass 3 protection. We can’t talk about sunlight legibility right now, we will see that in the full review.
Unlike the smaller Infinix Zero 4 that has physical soft keys, Infinix Zero 4 Plus comes with on-screen navigation keys.
On the right side is the volume key and power button, while the right side holds the SIM slot. The second SIM slot is a hybrid slot that either takes a SIM card or an SD card.
At the top is the 3.5mm earphone jack and looking at the bottom, there’s a micro-USB port. There appears to be two speaker grills but only one actually outputs sound, the other is for the microphone.
This is only a quick look at the device, we still need to put the Zero 4 Plus to test in order write a comprehensive review. We should have this published in about a week. Meanwhile, you can find this device on Jumia for NGN116,000.
